Illamasqua Speckled Nail Polish Review

4:44 pm

Today I am going to be doing a product review on the Illamasqua Speckled Nail Polish, which is a limited edition nail polish, that they brought out for Easter.

If you would prefer to watch the video of this review, scroll to the bottom of this post.

The pictures below are what the nail polish looks like when it has been painted on.

To begin with, I am going to talk about the positive things about this nail polish. So first of all I love the packaging and design of this nail polish. I like how when the bottle is in the packaging, you can see the colour through it. Another thing I like about this nail polish is that the liquid is really thick, so once it is on your nails, it doesn't chip very easily. This is good as I find with a lot of nail polishes once they have been applied to my finger nails, they chip really quickly. I also liked the speckled bits in the nail polish as they are different shades of blue and grey and make the nail polish look a bit more interesting.

Another positive point is that the brush is just the right size, it's not too big and it's not too small. Sometimes when you get nail polishes the brush is really small so it makes painting really hard.
Now I'm going to talk about the negative points about this nail polish. The first thing I don't like is that because the polish is so thick and has speckled bits, it's hard to get the nail polish on smoothly and evenly and then still have an even amount of speckled bits on all your nails. Another thing I didn't like is that when I came to take the nail polish off, the colour came off fine, but the speckled bits stayed on my nails and I had to buff my nails with a white buffer for ages! Plus after all that buffing, the speckles still hadn't completely gone.
This nail polish is priced at £14.50 and you can buy it from the Illamasqua online store or you can purchase it from one of their shops. I got mine from the one in Leeds City Centre. I also know that Debenhams sell them and it's the same price as the Illamasqua shop.
I would recommend this nail polish as it looks so nice on, even though it's a pain to get off.
