MAC Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick Review

Today I'm going to be doing a review on the MAC Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick. If you would prefer to watch the video of this review, scroll to the bottom of this post.
So first I'm going to talk about the things I like about this product. The first thing I like is the packaging and the way that it's designed. Now I absolutely love MAC packaging anyway because it's so simple and it looks really expensive, but I like how they have done the Nicki Minaj range as they have taken the red colour across the packaging, the product and all of the range too, so it all matches. I also like how they have positioned her signature on the box as it looks like you've just handed her the box and she has randomly signed it. I think the shape of the lipstick makes it stand out from other lipstick brands as normally lipsticks are like a rectangle shape, where as the MAC lipsticks look like bullets. I think it's a good idea that they have put the name of the lipstick on the top of the box as the lipstick its self doesn't stand up so you can see the name of it, so you could keep it in the box and store it so the name of the lipstick is visible.

I love the colour of this lipstick too as it's nice and bright and summery, plus my skin seems to glow when I have it on, which is weird as it's on my lips. Below are some pictures of me wearing the lipstick. The first picture is the before and the second picture is the after.

In the after picture I do have the lipgloss on that goes with the lipstick, but the lipstick its self is a satin finish. Another good thing about this lipstick is that it doesn't need more than one coat because the colour is really strong.

So now I'm going to talk about the things I didn't like about this lipstick. The first thing I didn't like is that it doesn't last long on your lips when you're eating and drinking. I find that I have to re-apply it after meals or if I've been drinking lots in a short space of time. What also happens when you take a drink is the lip colour transfers onto your glass which isn't very good especially if you're eating in a restaurant, it looks a bit disgusting! Another point I have to make is when you wear this lipstick you have to keep the rest of your makeup subtle as it's such a strong colour. You also have to be careful what you wear in case you look too over-dressed.
This lipstick I am reviewing is the first lipstick out of the Nicki Minaj range that they brought out. They then brought out another one called Viva Glam Nicki 2. The only difference is is that the colour of the second one is a purple/violet colour, where as the first one is a pink colour. So if you are going to buy this lipstick make sure you get the right colour. They also do a lipgloss to match, but they don't do a lipliner. The lip liner colour that the MAC artists tell you to use is the "Embrace Me" one.
This lipstick is £14 and you can buy it from MAC, Debenhams or anywhere that sells MAC. I should also mention that the profits from this lipstick goes to an Aids charity, which I think is good as not many people give away their profits to charity. Overall I would recommend this product as it's nice and bright and lovely.
