MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation Review

9:09 am

I bought MAC's Studio Fix Fluid Foundation after having a makeover done at the MAC Counter in Harvey Nichols. I was colour matched to one of the paler shades, NW13, which was no surprise. Unlike my previous foundation, MAC Studio Fix Fluid wasn't heavy on my skin and blended easily because of it's creamy texture. This foundation gives you a full coverage and has a matte finish. I haven't swatched it because the colour is that perfectly matched you couldn't see it!

Some people complain that this foundation causes breakouts, however if you wash your face with a face scrub after taking your makeup off, it won't happen. You can apply the foundation with either a foundation brush, which I like to use, or a sponge.

The only problem I have with this foundation is that it does't come with a pump like most foundations do. This makes getting the foundation on the back of your hand quite hard as it either takes forever to come out of the bottle, or it will all come out at once and then you end up wasting some. MAC do sell foundation pumps separately, but I think you shouldn't have to pay for a pump with the price of the product.

Overall I would recommend the MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation as it's a great all round product. You can purchase this foundation from MAC for £21.50

Have you tried the MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation?

  1. Great review Amber! It's such a shame a pump isn't provided.. and even more the fact you have to pay for it. But I'll give it a try when I go to a MAC store :)
