Lipcote Review

9:00 am

I found a sample of this product at the bottom of my product review box and I thought it was about time I reviewed it! Lipcote is like a top coat for your lips. It is supposed to seal in your lipstick and make it last longer than it usually would. It is made from natural ingredients and doesn't change the finish of your lipstick. If it's matte, it stays matte. If its glossy, it stays glossy.

When I first applied this product over my lipstick, it felt a little strange. It was like I was applying nail polish to my lips. The brush you use to apply it is just like the one in a nail polish, which makes applying it a little hard and takes longer than it would applying a normal lipgloss. The lipcote product felt like I was applying water to my lips. It stayed wet for a couple of seconds, then simply soaked in.

I must admit, it did make my lipstick stay on for a little longer than usual, but not all day, and it still came off when eating and drinking. However for the price it costs, £3.99, it's probably worth buying, especially for lipsticks that are more creamy.

Have you tried Lipcote before? What did you think?

  1. Sounds somewhat good but definitely not a miracle product if it doesn't help lipstick stay after food & drink.
