iWhite Instant Teeth Whitening Kit Review

9:00 am

I have been wanting to get my teeth whitened for a long time now. I have been doing a lot of research about different home kits, but never actually got round to buying one. My mum bought me the iWhite Instant Teeth Whitening Kit for my Birthday, which claims to remove stains leaving your teeth up to eight shades whiter.

In the kit you get ten trays that are pre filled with the whitening gel. The trays are flexible, comfortable and fit all teeth. The only problem with the trays being pre filled is that the gel isn't spread evenly. Although this can easily be solved by getting a cotton bud and gently moving the gel across the tray.

The Kit advises you to brush your teeth before applying the trays. Once done, you should remove the packaging from the tray and apply it to your teeth quickly, leaving it on for 20 minutes. The gel didn't leak from the trays throughout the 20 minutes, but it does create a lot of saliva, which is hard to get rid of with the trays in your mouth! Once the 20 minutes is over, you should remove the trays and swish water around your mouth to remove any remaining gel that might be still left on your teeth.

After using the whitening kit for the first time, I could see visible results. I had some yellow staining on my teeth that it had lifted and removed. There was still a little left on my teeth, but the majority had disappeared and my teeth looked whiter, cleaner and fresher. I then used the teeth whitening kit three days later to remove the rest of the staining. I will continue to use the kit once a month to keep on top of my teeth, although I may be able to leave it a little longer between treatments. Below are my before and after pictures.

To test whether the whitening kit had caused my teeth to be sensitive after using it, I drank come cold water and ate some ice-cream that night, and my teeth were fine.

I would defiantly recommend the iWhite Instant Teeth Whitening Kit as it is a good home kit that works fast and doesn't harm your teeth. You can purchase it from boots for £29.95.
